Sideboard veneered in wavy sycamore and carved brass

 

Sideboard 180x60x40cm vacuum-curved sides.

 

Black wavy sycamore, curved brass, solid brass foot gouged and hot-patinated.

 

The furniture is completely disassembled, the veneers are glued with reversible natural glues used in the 18th century, facilitating restoration over time.

 

View of the 45-degree cuts that continue in the curves as well as the grip of the doors.

 

The suspended shelves follow the shape of the sides.

 

These pieces of furniture with contemporary shapes were made using 18th century techniques: fish glue for the brass and nerve and bone glue for the veneer.
